Our Story

On Kiley’s first day transferring to a new high school, Jason was the first person to talk her when she sat down in Spanish class; he asked her for a pencil. Kiley thought this was ridiculous, as she was the new student, and therefore the one who would more likely be in need of a pencil, but Jason points out now that it was clearly just an excuse to start a conversation with a pretty girl.
We soon learned that we had a nearly identical schedule, and even had mutual friends in common. We shared headphones in math class, went to concerts, and became very close friends.
As we got older, our love for each other evolved, and we started dating in 2019. We moved into a small beachside apartment and found that we had much more in common than we ever previously knew.
We painted, played chess, and encouraged each other grow in many ways.
In 2022, we moved into our first home, with Kiley’s two Pomeranians, and then adopted a third one together in May of 2023. We cherish our three dogs and adore the life we have built. Jason is studying chemical engineering, with a special interest in medical applications, and Kiley is studying Philosophy, with a lens of political science.
In August of 2025, Jason took Kiley for a picnic on Mount Tamalpais to watch the sunset. At golden hour, Jason asked Kiley to marry him, and she said yes.
The next week, we went to Burning Man together and spent two weeks in the desert with no cell service, celebrating our bountiful and enduring love.
We cannot wait to share their happiness with all the people who have made it possible at our wedding!
